Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks extend mortgage sale

Posted on Thursday, February 16 by Joy Tibbs

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have announced that they will be extending their mortgage sale. With 20% more customers looking to buy a home or to remortgage compared with the same period last year, the sale will continue until February 28, two weeks longer than anticipated.

The banks have reduced prices across a broad range of products, including standard products and several without arrangement and valuation fees.

The sale – which includes the banks’ lowest ever two-year fixed rate at 1.59% and a five-year fixed rate at 2.49% with no arrangement fee – is designed to appeal to remortgage customers as well as to home movers and first-time buyers.

Helen Page, propositions director at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, said: “We’re delighted to be able to extend the offer to give more people the chance to save on their mortgage.”

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks received two accolades at the Your Mortgage Awards 2016, winning ‘Best Regional Mortgage Lender’ (Yorkshire Bank) for the third consecutive year and ‘Best Mortgage Lender Scotland’ (Clydesdale Bank).
