Halifax cuts remortgage rates
Halifax has reduced the rates on selected two-year mortgage and remortgage deals by up to 0.45%. The new rates include a two-year fixed-rate remortgage deal up to 85% loan-to-value (LTV) at 3.59% with a £995 fee, a reduction of 0.45%.
Other changes include: two-year fixed rates up to 75% or 80% from 3.19% (down between 0.15% and 0.2%); and two-year fixed rates up to 85% at 3.59% (down 0.2%).
Craig McKinlay, mortgages director at Halifax, said: “We are making a number of pricing reductions across our product range and are pleased to be able to continue to support not only first-time buyers, but the wider market.
“Home movers play a key role in ensuring the strength of the property market and we are committed to helping these buyers take the next step on the ladder as well as helping customers save money by remortgaging with Halifax.”
